Lo Welcomes City Belfast Park-And-Ride

South Belfast Alliance MLA, Anna Lo has said she is pleased that work on a new park-and-ride facility in the Cairnshill area is almost completed and she called on the Department for Regional Development to get it up and running as soon after completion as possible.

The site, which will be able to hold 730 vehicles, is situated on the A24.

"This service will hopefully help get more people to take the bus into Belfast and ease congestion on our roads,” said Ms Lo.

"I would like to see this facility being used as soon after completion as possible and I would call on the Department to do all they can to ensure this happens.

"Park-and-ride schemes are an important aspect of promoting the use of public transport and I am pleased to see that work on this project is almost completed."
