The leading supplier of ground support equipment for hire, Trench Control, has been selected by SIAC Construction to support its work during the construction of a new Waste Water Treatment Plant in Portrane, North County Dublin.

As part of the work, Trench Control will provide SIAC with access to Sheet piles, Frames, Piling hammers, Trench boxes, Manhole boxes, Pipe stoppers and onsite design expertise for temporary works

The overall scheme awarded to SIAC includes a secondary level treatment works; pumping stations at Donabate and Portrane, installation of rising mains and several km of pipe laying. The first phase of the project is expected to take about 24 months to complete.

The ability to provide temporary works design from initial drawings and to be able to review and meet onsite to make necessary adjustments was a large factor in Trench Control being awarded the contract.

In addition, Trench Control also provided an on-site maintenance division for all its equipment, especially Piling Hammers, thus delivering a one stop shop that delivered on both expertise and price.
