There's to be two new emergency services bases in Co Tipperary with news of the construction of a single-storey ambulance base adjacent to the Community Hospital of the Assumption, Leugh Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and another in Nenagh.

Detail plans were approved by Thurles Town Council for the Health Service Executive to include covered ambulance parking bays, staff car park and a dedicated entrance/exit.

The works will be completed in two separate lots with Lot One involving the construction of an ambulance base, covered ambulance parking bays, staff car park and a new dedicated entrance on the grounds of the existing HSE Community Hospital in Thurles Co. Tipperary.

Lot Two involves the construction of an ambulance base, covered ambulance parking bays, staff car park and alterations to an existing entrance / exit entrance on the grounds of the existing HSE premises (Derg Centre) at Gortlandroe, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary.

Reference number attributed to the notice by the contracting authority: MW-01/11 and the deadline for requests to participate is 3rd February 2011.

Detailed plans were also approved by Nenagh Town Council to Health Service Executive for the construction of a single-storey ambulance base at Gortlandroe Business Park, Gortlandroe, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary and an appropriate tender has now been published with these works also to be completed in two separate lots.
