Almost 100 new homes are to be built in Waterford - bucking the recessionary trend.
Although a third party appeal was submitted against the plans by Dermot Fitzpatrick Building Contractors for the construction of a mixed use development at Prospect Lodge and Grounds, Gracedieu Road, Waterford, An Bord Pleanala dismissed the appeal and granted permission for the development with conditions on 6th January.
The development is on a site of 3.4ha and consists of 97 dwelling units (seven four bed three-storey houses, 72 three bed two-storey houses, nine two bed two-storey houses and nine four bed
dormer houses) and the construction of a two storey crèche (216 square metres.).
Change of use of part of Prospect Lodge from existing residential to office use (242 square metres) and part residential four bed dwelling incorporating adjoining garden to west, including demolitions, renovations and alterations to the existing building and walled garden are also included.
Associated siteworks, outfall sewers to Bilberry Road and River Suir, open spaces, landscaping, boundary treatments, car parking and a new vehicular access from Gracedieu Road west of Prospect Lodge will also be provided.
Dermot Fitzpatrick Building is the contractor and the architect is Fenton Simons and Associates, Dublin.
