NRA's Nursing Home Rejection 'Overruled'

An Bord Pleanála has overruled an objection by the National Roads Authority (NRA) to the expansion of a nursing home.

Patterson Nursing Home, Lismackin, received permission from North Tipperary County Council to extend the rear of the property with 15 conditions attached - however the National Roads Authority objected on safety grounds.

The Authority believed the development, situated on the N62 national primary road, would cause a traffic hazard - however on appeal, An Bord Pleanála decided to grant permission and also acknowledged the site history and plans for further land acquisition.
