Sub-Contracts Win £8.5m Derry Scheme

Braham Electrical and Michael Nugent Ltd have been appointed as sub-contractors for the works involved with the construction of a mental health facility at Gransha Hospital, Clooney Road, Londonderry.

The approved plans, valued at £8.5 million, include a facility for people requiring care for mental health related conditions, comprising two 15-bedroom wards, a day care centre, support accommodation, administration offices, and staff educational facilities.

Also included in the plans, according to the website, unearthore.com, are external works and car parking provision, planting/landscaping next to the proposed building and tree planting alongside the access roads.

According to the website, unearthore.com, total floor area approved equals 3,703 square metres. Office areas will account for 796 square metres; Storage areas 85 square metres and Ancillary uses 1,754 square metres.

Work is progressing on site and the contract period is estimated at 18 months.
