Detailed plans were approved this week by Dunlaoghaire/Rathdown Council for the construction of a housing development at Eaton Brae House, Eaton Brae, Shankill, Dublin 18.
The development will include 14 new houses comprising of six two-storey three-bedroom terrace houses, six two-storey four-bedroom terrace houses, one two-storey three-bedroom detached house and one single-storey three-bedroom house.
They also gave the green light for the conversion of Eaton Brae House, a Protected Structure, to two units; one two-bedroom apartment at basement level and one three-bedroom apartment at ground and first floor and the demolition of a 1970s rear extension are included in the plans. There will be 16 residential units in total.
Permission is also being sought for the demolition of freestanding buildings within the curtilage of the site, improvements to the entrance junction, new entrance junction, new entrance gates and railings, general landscaping works and all associated siteworks, over 30 car parking spaces are also to be provided.
According to the website www.unearthore.com the architect is De Blacam and Meagher and the consulting engineer is Lohan and Donnelly.
