Builders are to get a fast-food boost soon with a plan to construct a drive-through take away and fast food restaurant in Galway.
The planned development will involve the change of use of part of an existing commercial building to use as a take away and for the construction of a mezzanine and for the construction of a serving hatch to the front facade of the building.
The unit will also contain a kitchen, toilets, staff areas and serving areas.
According to the website, www.unearthore.com alterations to the entrance to MG Business Park will be to comply with the requirements of the Road Safety Audit, which include the provision of a public footpath adjoining the N17 and revision to the existing road markings on the N17 to provide adequate turning lanes to serve the development.
The completion of the public footpath along the N17 to link with the existing public footpath is also included.
The construction of a parking area to serve the development and the provision of a one-way drive through route consisting of a menu call box, screening and all associated menu signage and landscaping (gross floor space ground floor ext 193.1sqm is also being planned.
The detailed plans were submitted for approval in late March.
