There's a major boost for Co Westmeath builders on the way with news of a plan to construct a community and health centre in Athlone.
The detailed plans were submitted to Athlone Town Council by Ath Med Partnership in late April 20 for the construction of the mooted primary community and continuing care health centre.
The plan is for a facility of approximately 4,230 square metres at Coosan Road, Clonbrusk, Athlone.
The centre will include a pharmacy and three GP suites.
The building will consist of two-stories with stair towers, as part of a revised proposal from development previously granted under planning reference 09/3031.
There will also be associated roads, car park, sub station, boiler house, connections to all services, landscaping and external site works.
