Community Facility For Co. Kildare

Detailed plans were submitted to Kildare County Council by Brendan Cantwell PP on Friday, July 29, 2011 for the construction of a community facility at Castledermot National School, Abbey Street, Castledermot.

Plans comprise the change of use of the currently vacant national school from educational use to community and related office use.

Permission is sought for the construction of new pitched roofs to all existing flat roofs and 2 No. separate extensions to the north of the existing building totalling 35 square metres.

Plans include the partial demolition of the existing school shed located to the northern boundary of the site along Church Lane, the demolition of boiler room located to the east of the existing school building and the provision of 40 No. car-parking spaces and associated siteworks.
