Tenders Sought For €2.9m Hospital Extension

Tenders are expected to be sought imminently, from suitably qualified contractors in the coming weeks to undertake construction of a hospital extension in Stranorlar, County Donegal.

The extension, designed by Tracey Associates, consists of the construction of a single-storey extension to the existing main entrance, in-fill extensions under the first floor at the rear of the building, the cladding/roofing of two existing external staircases, all associated external works including consequent.

changes to elevations and construction of additional car parking spaces and the change of use from institutional residential accommodation on the lower ground floor to offices at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Construction work on the scheme is expected to commence in late September 2011.

The development will measure 1,708 sq.m. and will be located on a 4.17 hectare site.
