Kildare To get €1.2m Sports Complex

A main contractor has been identified for this project, but official contracts have yet to be signed for the construction of a part single/part two-storey sports facility to the rear of the site at St. Conleths VEC School, Station Road, Newbridge, Co. Kildare.

The development, designed by Kildare-based architects, McCarthy O'Hora and Associates, will include the development of the demolition of the existing changing facilities and ancillary structures, and the construction of a part single/part two-storey sports facility.

Exact construction schedules have yet to be decided for the construction of a part two/part three-storey primary care centre element of this scheme.

It is understood that the sports facility component of this development is due to get underway in late September 2011 and will take eight months to complete.

The sports facility element of the project will measure 993 sq.m. and will be located on a 0.99 hectare site.
