Tenders are being sought to extend a Lidl Store in Newcastle, Co Down.
The 1,606 sq.m. Lidl store extension will be in the Railway Street of the town.
Designed by Belfast based architects, Consarc Design Group the project will include an extension of existing Lidl store into vacant non-Lidl units and vacant public house. The clock tower and existing brick facade will be retained and restored.
Consarc Design Group has 80 staff based in Belfast, Dublin and Derry. The Company operates throughout Britain and Ireland and has previously worked with both private and public clients. They specialise in hotels, healthcare, housing and all aspects of historic building care.
Lidl's history goes back to the 1930s, when the company was founded in Germany as a grocery wholesaler. Today, Lidl is one of the largest grocery retailers in Europe.
