Contractor Appointed for €200k School Extension

A main contractor has been appointed to undertake construction work on a €200k school extension.

St. John of God National School in Owning in Piltown in County Kilkenny will undergo a single-storey extension to its existing building.

The project calls for a classroom, a withdrawal room and a learning support room and renovations. In addition the work will include the division of an existing building into an office, computer and resource room.

The existing entrance to the school will be widened during the development and car parking will be provided.

Construction work is expected to commence imminently and take in the region of six months to complete. The development will measure 162 sq.m .and will be located on a 0.65 hectare site.
