A main contractor is to be appointed to undertake the redevelopment of a church in Dublin.
St. Sylvester's Church in Malahide, County Dublin will undergo work in October of this year.
The project, designed by Sean Harrington Architects calls for the demolition of an existing two-storey extension to the side of the church and a single storey extension to the rear of the church.
The construction of a part single-storey over basement and part three-storey Parish Centre will also be tackled during the project.
It is understood that the parish centre will include reception areas, four meeting rooms, two ancillary offices, church facilities (including sacristy and chapels), kitchen, storage and toilets facilities.
Meanwhile a two bed apartment will be located on the second floor and 21 car parking spaces will be provided at basement level.
The development will measure 1,567 sq.m. and will be located on a 0.3 hectare site.
