Tenders are expected to be sought in mid-November 2011 from contractors to undertake work on a new €5.9 million health centre in Ballinamore, County Leitrim.

Designed by Anthony Reddy & Associates, the project calls for the construction of a 20 bed care managed unit with interconnected primary care centre and day care centre, all associated connections to public water and sewerage services, vehicular access onto The Line Road, surface car parking, turning area for service vehicles, landscaping and boundary treatment and all associated site works.

Construction work on the scheme is expected to commence in Q1 2012 and is expected to take in the region of 12 months to complete.

The development will measure 1,829 sq.m. and will be located on a 3.5 hectare site.
