G4S were presented with the award at the prestigious BIFM Annual Conference, sponsored by ARAMARK and H&J Martin. The event saw around 200 delegates from the field of Facilities Management across Ireland gather together to share knowledge, build contacts, learn from the industry experts and even gather information on the latest technology and products available to them.

The successful event was the 15th conference to take place, but the Award was the first of its kind, Danny McAuley, BIFM, Ireland Regional Chairperson and Account Director for sponsor, ARAMARK explains why the award was introduced: "We felt it was important to recognise the hard work these companies put into ensuring that the buildings we work, play and live out our lives in are run as efficiently and as effectively as they are, so often Facilities Management is not seen as a key player, but perhaps that is because, when done well, no-one should be aware of it! As the industry body for the Facilities Management Industry we are delighted to launch this award and look forward to seeing candidates submit their impressive entries for years to come."

Runners up were CBRE, one of the world's largest commercial real estate firms and the Waterford Institute of Technology, both received a certificate to mark their outstanding contribution to the industry.
