The Mayor of South Dublin County Council, Cllr. Caitríona Jones has launched a publication designed to help businesses save money by becoming more aware of the quantities of water they use.

The information guide also aims to inform businesses how to ensure a supply of water even under adverse weather conditions.

Mayor Jones said: "Water security is very important to business sustainability and business sustainability is important to everyone in this County.

"The Guide to Water Conservation and Efficiency for Business asks a number of questions of businesses in relation to their approach to maintaining water supply and suggests a number of ways by which substantial savings can be made by providing adequate storage, protecting premises, knowing and monitoring water use and reducing consumption to protect this valuable resource."

The information leaflet is a publication of the Sustaining & Developing Business Initiative from South Dublin County Council and South Dublin Chamber.
