Simple Power In Multi-Million Pound Agreement With Vergnet

Northern Ireland wind energy company Simple Power today announced an exclusive agreement with global manufacturer Vergnet SA to deliver the company's wind turbines throughout the province.

The distribution agreement French based Vergnet is valued at over £50million.

Founded by CEO, Marc Vergnet, a renowned international figure in the renewable energy industry, Vergnet is a leading global manufacturer of wind turbines.

The partnership with Simple Power to install its mid-range Vergnet GEV-MP R 250kW wind turbines across Northern Ireland represents a significant international seal of approval for the locally-founded company, which aims to develop approximately 200 single wind turbines in the region by 2016.

Simple Power CEO Paul Carson said: "I am delighted to announce the signing of this exclusive distribution agreement with Vergnet in Northern Ireland at such a pivotal point in the development of wind energy here. The company is a global leader in the medium wind sector with expertise spanning 20 years.
