Local Charities Receive A Titanic Thank-You

Patton and the Ulster Orchestra recently held a reception at Cultra Manor for volunteers from 10 Ballymena based charitable organisations.

Celebrating 100 years in business, the Ballymena based firm wanted to celebrate its roots in the Ballymena community and recognise the work that many volunteers make to good causes within the local area. So, joining forces with musicians from the Orchestra, they held a 'Titanic thank you' event at Cultra where Patton recently completed the fit-out of the TITANIC exhibition and the refurbishment of the magnificent manor house.

Following a tour of the exhibition, the guests were treated at Cultra Manor to refreshments and a performance of a wide variety of music by the Ulster String Quartet.

"Patton's partnership with the Ulster Orchestra is a major element of our Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy which encourages the support of key organisations across a range of activities, such as arts, charity and sports," said Alan Stewart, Marketing Manager at Patton. "Having a close association with a leading arts provider also has a positive impact on our employees and creates a sense of pride and achievement internally. We were delighted to allow our employees to nominate causes close to their hearts and be able to utilise our partnership with the Orchestra to give something back to the volunteers who selflessly give their time and efforts to worthwhile causes in and around Ballymena."

Patton employees also raised £1,000 and on the evening cheques were presented to each of the 10 charities represented. The event was made possible by the Arts & Business Northern Ireland Investment Programme.
