Mallon Welcomes New School Build For Bunscoil Bheann Mhadagáin

SDLP Oldpark Councillor Nichola Mallon said she is delighted at the announcement that Bunscoil Bheann Mhadagáin is to receive a capital investment of £2.5m for a new school building.

She said: "This is wonderful news especially for the parents and pupils who have shown such unswerving loyalty to the school for so many years.

"These parents alongside the Principle Máire Hegarty, Tarlach Mac Giolla Bhríde and the rest of the Board of Governors of Bunscoil Bheann Mhadagáin have campaigned tirelessly for a much deserved and long overdue new school building for the children of North Belfast. This announcement today is a result of their commitment and hard work.

"It is now crucial that construction of a new Naíscoil and bunscoil begins without delay."
