Launch Of Taylor Signs

Taylor Signs Ltd one of the oldest sign companies in Ireland 70 years on the hoof fell to the Celtic tiger .

They had a staff of over 60 at the peak. They were well known as sign makers to corporations institutions and government bodies.

People would actually arrive in our office asking to buy a Taylor sign such was the strength of the brand. In the days before mass media the office of Taylor signs ,situated strategically on the canal at Grove road Rathmines for over 40 years, acted as a reminder as to where to go to buy a sign. People from all over Ireland passed by and remembered the name. Signs were never an impulse purchase and once bought repair and maintenance was a given.

There is a generation of Irish people who knew of no other brand in the sign business.

Currently there are 80% plus unemployment in the architectural profession.

Architects were the main source of new signage business. This leaves the market for repair and renewal of existing sign branding as the main focus for us in the short to medium term.

Brand managers who traditionally re-branded every seven years are showing a reluctance to invest at the moment, preferring internal sign displays using such as decals and foam board, which are both colorful and inexpensive to produce, all be the impact is more limited.

Alpha Sign Nameplate and Decal co ltd is well known for its nameplate and decal manufacture. The Taylor brand will bring us to markets which we might not otherwise reach. We intend to give employment to some staff who were made redundant.

At the end of the day our confidence in our ability to produce quality signs on time will vindicate our decision to retain the Taylor brand .
