Deputy Michael Colreavy said: "Details have emerged of the poor management on the part of the Irish Greyhound Board over the construction of a new stadium in Greenpark, Co Limerick.
"It has been reported that The Irish Greyhound Board entered into a 'gentleman's agreement' that the site of the new stadium would be raised by two metres to avoid flooding, by the Limerick Racecourse Company, as part of the purchase deal and at no extra cost.

Deputy Colreavy said the agreement was never written in a formal contract.
He continued: "It has been reported that The Irish Greyhound Board also rejected advice of solicitors and engineers who were concerned about the lack of protection surrounding the deal. The Irish Greyhound Board is currently €25 million in debt.
"If these allegations are true, this activity is unacceptable from the semi-state body and questions must be answered as to why there was such poor judgment on the issue."
