SIPTU members at the Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) and Aer Lingus have agreed to defer their planned industrial action and to take part in talks at the Labour Relations Commission.
At a meeting at Dublin Airport this morning, SIPTU members 'reluctantly' agreed to defer the industrial action planned for Monday next 1st October.
The decision followed a request by the LRC on Wednesday (26th September) that SIPTU members defer their action and that the DAA and Aer Lingus withdraw legal and other threats against the union.
The dispute arises due to a refusal by the two employers to meet their obligations under the staff pensions scheme.
