Naas Town Council and Kildare County Council have welcomed the announcement by Kerry Group to establish a flagship, industry-leading, Global and Technology Innovation Centre in Millenium Business Park, Naas.

The Kerry Group, an Irish company, is a world leader in food ingredients and flavours. The proposed development in Naas will create 800 full-time jobs in 2015, with a further 100 positions when the facility is fully commissioned by mid-2016. The majority of the positions are expected to be filled by graduates and skilled employees.

Naas North West Quadrant Masterplan provides a development framework for Millennium Park. This development by Kerry Group is complementary to that plan. It is hoped that the Kerry Group development will provide a catalyst for further development at Millennium.

Kildare County Manager, Michael Malone, in welcoming the proposal, said: "This development, promoted by a leading Irish plc, is directly supportive of Government Policy."
