McGlone Welcomes Training Centre Decision

SDLP Enterprise Trade and Investment spokesperson Patsy McGlone has warmly welcomed news from Environment Minister Alex Attwood that he has given the green light to the construction of a new combined Police, Fire and Prison Officer training college at Desertcreat, near Cookstown.

The Mid Ulster MLA said: "The news of the granting of planning permission for the college at Desertcreat is something I take double pleasure in – not only because of the economic advantages and jobs that the construction operation will create, but also, as a constituency MLA, it is fantastic to have this important facility right at the heart of Mid Ulster.
