Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy announced the start of a £170,000 major resurfacing scheme on a section of Scraghy Road, the main Castlederg to Enniskillen road.
Asphalt resurfacing work will begin on Monday 14 January 2013 from the Scraghy Road/Hegarty Road junction for a distance of 1.1km going south on the B72.
The Minister said: "This scheme will greatly improve the strength and surface quality of the carriageway on this important route between Castlederg and Enniskillen."
Due to the restricted carriageway width available on the Scraghy Road and to help minimise any potential conflict between the site works and traffic associated with the travelling public, it is necessary to close the 1.1km section to through traffic for the period 14 to 27 January 2013. This is an essential road closure to maintain the safety of road users and general public. Diversions will be signposted via Drumquin and local access will be retained.
The scheme is expected to be substantially completed on 27 January 2013.
