The Energy Minister has officially opened Calor Gas' newly refurbished office in Belfast.
Calor Gas employs 98 staff in its Belfast office where a recent £550,000 investment by the company has led to the creation of six additional jobs in its Customer Contact Department.
Arlene Foster said: "Calor Gas has made a significant investment at its Belfast premises, which shows the company’s commitment to their local workforce. The creation of additional jobs is also a positive development, particularly in the current economic climate.
"I welcome the company's investment in the LPG industry, which supports my Department’s objectives as it is a low carbon fuel which can contribute towards the achievement of lower carbon energy targets.
"It offers a useful alternative to customers who cannot access natural gas but who choose not to heat their homes by oil. This helps to give customers a wider choice of fuels."
