Phil Hogan, T.D., Minister for Environment, Community and Local Government has announced that he has given sanction for Inishowen Development Partnership to approve funding of €384,906.25, to Drumfries Community Centre Association for the building of a Community and Heritage centre at Drumfries, Co Donegal.
Minister Hogan said: "This project will be of immense benefit to Drumfries and its surrounding areas, with it's total project costs of €584,788.32. I know it will improve the quality of life and will strengthen the social and economic fabric for all the areas inhabitants.
"The project will now go back to the Board of Inishowen Development Partnership for the final approval on the project. This is in line with the EU's 'bottom-up' approach to rural development."
