Sinn Féin West Tyrone MP Pat Doherty said that after the court decision on the A5, all necessary steps need taken to get the building of this new road up and running.

Pat Doherty said: "After the decision by the court it is incumbent on all concerned that the necessary steps are taken to get the building of this new road up and running.

"The completion of the A5 will help to rebalance the infrastructural deficit west of the Bann and create hundreds of jobs during its construction.

"The benefits to the economy and also increased road safety make this road vital to the business community and the people of the west of the Bann.”"
