Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy has announced the start of a £180,000 resurfacing scheme on the Cornagrade Road, one of the main roads leading into Enniskillen this week.
The work will commence at the Cherrymount Roundabout continuing for a distance of 800 metres to Factory Road. It will also include the surfacing of some of the footways.
The Minister said: "This scheme will greatly improve the strength and surface quality of the carriageway on this important route into the Town Centre."
Due to the restricted carriageway width available on the Cornagrade Road and to help minimise any potential conflict between the site works and traffic associated with the travelling public, it will be necessary to close this section of the road to through traffic during the laying of the carriageway surfacing.
The scheme is expected to be substantially completed on 17 May 2013.
