Social Development Minister Nelson McCausland has announced the completion of work to improve the local public realm and community safety along a walkway and cycle path at Ballymacarrett.
The £181,000 improvement scheme between Ballymacarrett Road, Titanic Rail Halt and Bridge End was funded by the Northern Ireland Executive through the Department for Social Development's Neighbourhood Renewal Programme and included the removal of overgrown planting and the provision of soft landscaping.
Minister McCausland said: "The completion of this Environmental Improvement Scheme is an important step in the process of revitalising and improving the local public realm and community safety in this part of the city. Regeneration is of crucial importance and this project will create a more attractive environment for local residents and for those who travel in and out of Belfast along this route."
