Roads Minister Danny Kennedy has announced that work on a £146,000 resurfacing scheme for Longrig Road in Antrim will begin on 15 July 2013.
The work between Kilcross Road and Boltnaconnell Road is expected to continue until 19 July 2013.
Mr Kennedy said: "The improvements will result in the overall strengthening of the road and road users will quickly realise the benefits of the new carriageway surface."
Longrig Road will be closed to daytime through traffic from Monday 15 July to Friday 19 July 2013 to facilitate the works. During the closure all traffic will be diverted using Seven Mile Straight and Belfast Road.
Roads Service has carefully programmed the works operations and traffic management arrangements in order to minimise any inconvenience to the public, however, road users should be aware that some delays are expected. Drivers should allow additional time when planning journeys in the area.
