Transport Minister Danny Kennedy has announced a £290,000 resurfacing scheme on the M2 Ballymena bypass, Ballymena.
A significant resurfacing scheme is planned for the M2 Ballymena By-Pass for one kilometre in a northbound direction from the A42 Broughshane Road off slip.
The works are due to begin on Monday 22 July 2013 and will be completed by Sunday 10 August 2013.
The Minister said: "This scheme demonstrates my department's commitment to targeted investment in our strategic road network to ensure it remains safe, effective and reliable."
To protect the safety of the travelling public and contractors during the surfacing works it will be necessary to introduce lane closures and a contra-flow system utilising the southbound carriageway during these works.
Lane restrictions will remain in place from 7am Monday 22 July 2013 to 6pm Sunday 10 August 2013.
