Newton Welcomes Investment In Phoenix Gas

East Belfast DUP MLA Robin Newton, a member of the Assembly's Enterprise, Trade and Investment Committee, has welcomed the investment of a reported "up to £700 million", to purchase Phoenix Natural Gas Ltd.

Robin Newton MLA, Member of the Committee for Enterprise, Trade and Investment, said: "I welcome this investment in the future of Phoenix Gas as a natural energy supplier. I'm sure this investment will guarantee a future successful development of the gas industry and the delivery of a gas supply to a greater number of customers. This also means energy supply competition and an increasing number of customers will have a choice of energy suppliers.
