Transport Minister Danny Kennedy has announced that work on the £275,000 resurfacing scheme on the A6 Glenshane Road in Magherafelt is moving into its second phase.
Work on a 900m length of the Glenshane Road close to the Carricknakielt picnic area is on schedule and is expected to be completed on 23 August 2013.
Mr Kennedy said: "The scheme will result in a significantly improved road surface. Other benefits will see improved road drainage leading to a reduction in maintenance costs."
The work is being completed using traffic control and the need for a road closure is not anticipated.
