Dundalk Town Council has announced it is to carry out flushing of public watermains in the Bellewsbridge Road areas of Dundalk over the coming weeks.

The flushing is scheduled to commence on Monday 9 September 2013. The works will continue at different locations in the Bellewsbridge Road areas until Friday 13 September 2013, and flushing in each area is likely to last for several hours.

Works may cause temporary discoloration of water and/or localised falls in water pressure.

Areas likely to be affected by works during course of week are:

• Bellewsbridge Road

• Saltown

• Fatima

• Riverwell Close

• Oldbridge

• Castletown Cottages
