Westville Watersedge Apartments Officially Open

Tourism Minister Arlene Foster has officially opened the Westville Watersedge Apartments in Enniskillen.

The complex of 12 self-catering apartments overlooking Lough Rossole and Lough Erne, has been awarded four-star status under the Northern Ireland Tourist Board's Accommodation Quality Grading Scheme.

The Minister said: "Visitors come to Enniskillen to enjoy our beautiful natural landscapes, as well as our visitor attractions, and it is important that we have a full mix of accommodation available to make their stay as pleasurable as possible.

"This luxurious complex of serviced apartments is a marvellous addition to our existing accommodation assets in Fermanagh. Providing all the comforts of a hotel stay, with the added freedom and independence of a private space, the apartments will appeal to families and groups looking for an affordable getaway."

Highlighting the tourism developments in Fermanagh over the past two years, Arlene Foster continued: "Over recent years we have been working hard to improve all aspects of our tourism offering. Last week we experienced the second Happy Days Beckett Festival and it was a great success due to the variety of the events on offer and the world class artists who participated.

"Our local tourism industry is going from strength to strength and the feel-good factor since the G8 summit is strong. High quality accommodation such as this is essential if we are to build on the achievements to date and reach our tourism goals.

"In addition to the tourism benefits that this investment will provide, the fact that 10 jobs have been created as a result of the development is great news for the local area. I can only commend the vision and work of the Cassidy family that has helped to make Enniskillen the place to stay for both international and domestic visitors."
