DRD Minister, Danny Kennedy, has announced the start of a £65,000 improvement scheme on Battery Road/Drumenny Road, Coagh, near Cookstown.
The work is due to begin on Monday 9 September 2013 at this busy staggered crossroads on the B73 Battery Road and B161 Drumenny Road, Coagh. During this period, two-way traffic flow will be maintained as far as possible, but some works operations will require a traffic control system to minimise traffic disruption and ensure the safety of operatives. Work should continue to early October 2013.
The Minister said: "This scheme will improve the road safety for all users by making it easier for heavy goods vehicles to negotiate the junction as well as improving visibility for all road users."
To help minimise any inconvenience to the travelling public, the majority of this work is programmed to be completed using a traffic control system starting on 9 September and continuing until 8 October 2013. During this period, controlled two-way traffic flow will be maintained.
