Transport Minister Danny Kennedy has announced the start of a £270,000 major resurfacing scheme on A5 Curr Road, Omagh.
Work is due to begin on 16 September at two sites on the Curr Road between its junctions with Seskinore Road and Moylagh Road.
The first site involves resurfacing approximately 0.5 kilometres at the junction of the Drumconnolly Road and site two involves resurfacing approx 1.2 kilometres between Crannoge Road and Church Road.
Mr Kennedy said: "This resurfacing scheme will provide an improved road surface and reduced maintenance costs on this very busy arterial route."
Work will continue until 27 September. Traffic control will be in operation from 16 September but work will be restricted to between peak hours. A full road closure will be necessary from 23 to 27 September to allow final surfacing.
All traffic will be diverted as follows: Ballygawley bound traffic will be diverted at the B83 Junction via Seskinore while Omagh Bound traffic will be diverted at Crawfords Bridge via Beragh to Omagh. Local traffic will be accommodated.
