Mr Mark Gilmore of Long Rig Road, Crumlin and Ecopart (NI) Limited of Long Rig Road, Crumlin were fined a total of £1,200, plus £112 court costs, at Antrim Magistrates' court for breaches of waste management legislation.
Between January 2010 and January 2013, officers from the Northern Ireland Environment Agency investigated a site, owned by Ecopart (NI) Limited, on the Long Rig Road, Crumlin, where a substantial quantity of End of Life vehicles were stored.
Mr Mark Gilmore pleaded guilty to one charge of depositing controlled waste and two charges of keeping controlled waste without holding the necessary waste management licence.
Ecopart (NI) Limited pleaded guilty to one charge of permitting controlled waste to be deposited and two charges of permitting controlled waste to be kept without the operator holding the necessary waste management licence.
