Transport Minister Danny Kennedy announced £400,000 for two resurfacing schemes for the Cullybackey area in County Antrim.
The two schemes on the B93 Cardonaghy Road and the B97 Dreen Road will provide 4.3km of new asphalt surfaces.
The works are due to start on Monday 14 October 2013 and each scheme will take two weeks to complete.
The Minister said: "These road improvements will greatly improve the strength and surface quality of the carriageway in the area."
To protect the safety of the travelling public and contractors during these surfacing schemes it will be necessary to close the roads.
