Response Engineering, one of Ireland's leading environmental engineering services firms, has signed a major new electricity supply deal with leading independent energy provider Energia.

The deal is valued at €550,000 and will see Energia supply over 50 water treatment sites around Ireland that are operated by Response Engineering. The company specialises in the operation of municipal and industrial water and waste water treatment plants, as well as design, engineering and construction services. The company's Head Office is based in Charleville, Cork, with the sites under the company's management spread throughout the country. Water treatment and pumping processes are heavy consumer of electricity therefore any reduction in useage and costs can have a significant influence.

Commenting on the deal, John Knowles, Finance Director, Response Engineering said: "This deal with Energia will be a big help as we look to control our cost base. Energia's offering was a great choice as it combines the most competitive energy offerings with first class customer service. They also have on offer a great range of energy management tools and energy advisory expertise."
