Transport Minister Danny Kennedy has announced that work on a £120,000 resurfacing scheme on the U131 Drumaroad Hill has started.
Resurfacing of a 750 metres stretch of the U131 Drumaroad Hill, Drumaroad from the Ballynahinch Road junction to the Chapel Lane junction, started on Monday 14 October with work expected to be completed by Friday 25 October.
Temporary road closure will be necessary with through-traffic being diverted from 8am until 5pm daily from Monday 14 October to Friday 25 October, excluding Sundays. Diversions will be via the B175 Ballynahinch Road and U131 Chapel Lane.
Mr Kennedy said: "This £120,000 scheme represents a significant investment in the roads infrastructure in the Drumaroad area.
"Once work is complete, road users will quickly realise the long term benefits from the new road surface."
