Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy has announced the start of a £160,000 resurfacing scheme on Convent Hill Road, Bessbrook, near Newry.
The work is due to begin on Monday 28 October 2013 between Green Road and Ballynabee Road.
The Minister said: "The scheme will improve the quality of the road surface and improve the drainage on this stretch of road."
To help minimise any inconvenience to the travelling public and local businesses, the majority of this work is programmed to be completed using road closures, 8am to 6pm Monday to Saturday, during the school holidays at Halloween. The road will be open outside working hours.
The road closures will start on 28 October and continue until 2 November when the scheme is expected to be completed.
