Louth County Council has produced a revised version of their tenancy handbook which aims to answer general queries tenants may have in relation to their home, tenancy and environment.
The Handbook clearly sets out the rights and responsibilities of tenants and the services provided by the Council to their tenants. The new handbook is an excellent reference document providing easy to follow guides for tenants moving into their new home and provides information on issues such as rent payments, repairs and maintenance, safety in the home, waste disposal, anti-social behaviour and community involvement.
The Handbook also provides contact details for community based services. The Council acknowledge the commitment of their Tenant Liaison Officers, Marie McGorman and Catherine McConville, who promote a tenant participation model of estate management, encouraging tenants to play an active part in making their estate an attractive, well-maintained, safe and secure place to live.
