Amber Green Heats Up Green Energy Solutions

Amber Green Heat, part of the Amber Green Energy Group, has launched a sustainable heating solution for homeowners in Northern Ireland which will allow bill payers to take control of their domestic and commercial heating bills.

Amber Green Heat says its range of 'AmberGlow' wood pellet boilers offers consumers control by delivering a sustainable heating solution which removes consumer reliance on volatile energy markets.

Latest figures from the House Condition Survey, carried out by the Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE), show that 42% of all households in Northern Ireland are living in fuel poverty which means 294,240 households are paying 10% or more of their income on energy costs annually.

Between 2009 and 2012, the average annual price of home heating oil increased by 62% whereas gas bills in the Greater Belfast area have risen by 38% between 1 April 2009 and 1 April 2013.

Dwyer O'Neill, chief executive of Amber Green Energy, said Amber Green Heat's move to launch AmberGlow has been accelerated by the long and harsh winter last year and said people in Northern Ireland need to have options.

Mr O'Neill added: "Launching AmberGlow gives bill payers a heating solution which is affordable, reliable and sustainable. The number of households in Northern Ireland in fuel poverty is staggering and needs to be addressed. People should have access to a range of heating options and we are providing the region with the solution.

"The AmberGlow allows people to heat their homes for under 50 per cent of traditional heating systems and, with grants of £2,500 now available for home installations, it offers consumers with a very real solution to home heating. Furthermore, AmberGlow systems are Renewable Heat Premium Payment (RHPP) compatible and Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) compatible for businesses.

"The AmberGlow solution gives people control so when oil, gas and electricity companies continue to announce price hikes our customers know they are not at the hands of volatile energy markets but are instead warmed to the fact they are operating their homes and businesses by sustainable and reliable technology."

The AmberGlow range come in all shapes and sizes and caters for domestic and commercial businesses, large and small. Pellet boiler technology is well established and proven with over one million installations across Europe and can have high heating efficiencies of up to 96% which is comparable with boilers which burn oil. Wood pellets are readily available on the market with over nine million tonnes being produced annually across Europe.

The team at Amber Green Heat are now taking orders for the AmberGlow range.
