Social Development Minister Nelson McCausland has announced funding of £461,000 for Lurgan Town Football Club.
The funding, provided by the Northern Ireland Executive through the Department for Social Development, will allow the club to expand its services to accommodate growing local demand. The work will include the construction of a half sized 3G pitch and a new larger clubhouse.
In addition, the outdoor environment will be upgraded and this will include the replacement of floodlighting to allow the pitches to be used in the evening from September to April.
Minister McCausland said: "In the last quarter of a century, Lurgan Town Football club has gone from strength to strength, providing sporting activities for the residents of the Lurgan Neighbourhood Renewal Area. However its success has created a situation where it has outgrown its facilities.
"This is an exciting time for the Club, in its silver jubilee year, and I am pleased, therefore, that the Executive through my Department is able to provide the necessary funding to assist its continued growth into the future."
