Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy has set out Roads Service's progress on investment totalling £3.1m for road improvement and maintenance schemes in the Castlereagh area this year.
The Minister said: "A wide range of road improvement and maintenance schemes is planned or already complete in the Castlereagh Borough Council area.
"Major schemes completed include the £135,000 carriageway resurfacing at Robb's Road, the £112,000 carriageway resurfacing at Cairnshill Road and the recently completed £137,000 carriageway resurfacing at Hillsborough Road. These were essential maintenance schemes within the Castlereagh area. These schemes will improve the driving conditions and extend the life span of the existing roads.
"The autumn round of Council meetings is a timely opportunity for Councils to discuss potential schemes and priorities."
