Sinn Féin MLA Mickey Brady who is also vice chair of the Social Development Committee said that following the committee meeting involving Nelson McCausland there is now even more questions to be answered.

These questions are regarding the meeting between of Turkington Holdings, Department of Social Development officials and the Minister in relation to the awarding of double glazing contracts for Housing Executive homes.

Mr Brady said: "It is very clear today that there are significant questions that still need to be answered regarding the involvement of Turkington Holdings Ltd in a meeting concerning the awarding of double glazing contracts for Housing Executive homes.

"Despite every other single piece of evidence from those who have given presentations to the committee, including Turkingtons Holding Ltd, it is clear that Turkingtons were representing themselves at this particular meeting and that the minutes of that meeting had been deliberately changed to say it was the Glass and Glazing Federation Association and not Turkingtons.

"The Minister, when questioned on this change, could not provide a rationale for the change other than it was mistake.

"However, when pressed as to whether there was a financial relationship between Turkingtons and the DUP he could not answer, stating it was not his business as a minister or an MLA to know how the DUP was financed.

"Given the nature and gravity of this inquiry anyone would think that the minister would have forseen this question and had this information at hand."
